Frequently Asked
Questions

What are the festival dates?
Mark your calendar as the Afro Nation Punta Cana Experience kicks off from the 7th to the 9th November 2025. Three days of great vibes in the sun - don't miss it!

Where is the experience?

We’re turning up the heat in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

We’ll be kicking things off at the stunning Pearl Beach Club - your tropical playground for the opening days of the event (Friday and Saturday). Think poolside cocktails, beachfront bites, and curated DJ sets designed to raise the vibes from day to night. Whether you’re posted up in a cabana or dancing barefoot in the sand, Pearl Beach Club delivers open-air energy and unmatched views right on the Caribbean shoreline.

Our final venue for the weekend (Sunday) is at the El Dorado Grand Amphitheatre!

What age do I have to be?
Afro Nation is an 18+ event. You'll need valid ID to get in and grab a drink at the bar. No exceptions!

What do I need to bring to guarantee entry?
For smooth sailing into Afro Nation Punta Cana Experience, don’t forget:

  • Your printed e-ticket

  • A valid photo ID (make sure the name on your e-ticket matches your ID)

What constitutes a valid photo ID?
We’re talking passport or driving license – any form of ID with a photo that proves who you are.

What documents do I need to enter the Dominican Republic?

For Tourists (including UK, EU, US citizens):

  1. Valid Passport

    • Must be valid for the duration of your stay (some airlines may require at least 6 months validity, so it's best to check).

  2. E-Ticket (Entry/Exit Form)

    • This is a mandatory digital entry and exit form required by the government.

    • Complete it before travelling at: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do

    • You’ll need to complete this both for arrival and departure, but you can fill in both at once.

  3. Proof of Return or Onward Travel

    • A return flight or travel ticket may be requested on arrival.

  4. Travel Insurance (Recommended)

    • While not mandatory, travel insurance (including medical coverage) is highly recommended.

Additional Notes:

  • Visa Requirements: Most tourists (UK, EU, US, Canada, etc.) do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days. Extensions are available for a fee if staying longer.

Tourist Fee:

This is usually included in your airline ticket cost. If not, you may need to pay it on arrival (approx. $10 USD).

What are the opening times?
Each day, the party begins in the afternoon and doesn’t stop until late. The exact itinerary and times will be released at a later date.

What’s the dress code or vibe?

Daytime:

Flowy cover-ups, swimwear, sunglasses, and sandals. Swim chic is key - bikinis, boardshorts, linen sets, and kaftans all fit the scene.

Evening / Party Time:

Turn it up with elevated resort wear - co-ords, lightweight shirts, mesh or sheer layers, statement accessories, and festival-ready glam.

Swimwear is fine, but beach club rules still apply: cover-ups and footwear are expected when ordering food or drinks.

How do I pay at Afro Nation Punta Cana Experience?
No cash, no cards - it’s all about the wristband! Top up your wristband before the Afro Nation Punta Cana Experience or at one of our top-up stations on-site.

Are there cash machines on site?

You’ll find ATMs and exchange booths at the airport, in hotels, and near Pearl Beach Club. USD is widely accepted, but for best value, use Dominican Pesos (DOP) for local purchases.

When can I buy my ticket?

You can purchase your ticket right here!

What is the difference between ticket releases?

For our Ticket Only option, there is no difference in perks between ticket releases – the earlier you get your ticket, the more you save. Each tier is limited in availability, and prices rise as more tickets drop, so don’t dull!

What is the difference between a Ticket Only Booking and Package Booking?

A weekend ticket gives you access to the 3 main events over the weekend. Packages are by far the best value, as they include access to the 3 main events, 4 nights' accommodation (you get to choose your hotel), plus airport and event shuttles! Each tier also includes additional perks, which can be found on the packages page.

Can I attend if I buy a Package but my friend just gets a ticket?

If you purchase a Package and your friend or friends have purchased the Ticket Only option, you will still be able to attend. A Package booking simply means that as well as purchasing a 3 Day Weekender Ticket you also have accommodation included along with some other perks depending on your Package tier.

When will I receive my ticket?

Your electronic ticket will be emailed to the lead booker no later than 7 days before the festival. Make sure your balance is fully paid. You can also find your ticket in 'Your Account' at puntacana.afronation.com/log-in. Print it out or keep it on your smartphone – your call!

Can I buy day tickets?

Due to the capacity constraints of our venues, we have made the decision to limit day tickets exclusively to local residents at this time.

We're doing this to make sure everyone in the local community gets a fair shot at coming to our event, since tickets are limited.

For those travelling internationally, we invite you to make the most of your weekender with our exclusive weekender tickets or accommodation packages. They're designed to give you the full experience and let you enjoy all our events throughout the entire weekend.

How can I add VIP?

VIP upgrades will become available later in the year - keep an eye on socials and emails!

How do I know if my ticket is valid?

Only tickets purchased from this website are legit. Stay clear of resellers to avoid counterfeit tickets.

What do I do if I delete or lose my e-ticket?

No worries! Your e-ticket is available from 7 days before the event. Just log in to puntacana.afronation.com/log-in  and download it again. Have it ready on your smartphone or print it out - whichever works best for you.

Can I upgrade my ticket?

Level up your experience! If you want to upgrade your ticket, hit us up via email at hello@Afronationpuntacana.com and we’ll get you sorted.

Are there any table packages available?
